This was an extremely well-thought out and perfectly executed event from the pre-programme entertainment (great for those of us with young families who brought picnics) right through to the fireworks and music at the end. There really was something for everyone in the line-up and the event was very well MC’d. We had visitors over from Austria with us and they were totally blown away by the quality of a ‘local’ event. This is the best example I’ve seen in a long time of a community working well together. “On behalf of the Puki whanau I would like to say a big congratulations and thank you for such a wonderful night on Sunday. We were so impressed with everything. The location, the stage, the sound, the performers - EVERYTHING. We attended a similar event a couple of years ago and we were really disappointed but this is just what the Hutt Valley needed. We went with 4 other families and arrived at 5.00 pm and made a real night of it. The kids all loved it - especially the Funky Monkeys and the adults just loved the variety of performers.
